Davis Lake Harris Teeter Opening August...

 

 So the Lowe's Grocery Stores in Charlotte, NC were bought out by Harris Teeter and Harris Teeter sold and swapped stores with Lowe's Grocery elsewhere in the state.  Who cares?  You're right, who cares.  All I care about right now is when is the Harris Teeter (HT) going to open at the Shoppes at Davis lake in North Charlotte.  It's tough losing my neighborhood grocery store for the last six weeks while HT came in to the old Lowe's Grocery at Davis Lake to Teeter-fy it. 

August 8, 2012 is the posted open date for the Davis Lake Harris Teeter (HT).  HT gave an exclusive interview to the Davis Lake Blog - off the record of course, but I will share some of the information here - HT shared some cool, some useless and all interesting factoids about the HT at Davis Lake.  A few cool facts:

• The store needed a really good cleaning, but the HT rep. said the store was among the better taken care of among the Lowe's Grocery stores HT purchased.  I think that says a lot about the Staff at the Lowe's Grocery at Davis Lake.
• Many of the former Lowe's Grocery employees at Davis Lake were hired to stay on at the new HT.
• Construction is going on for the better part of the day, some days as much as around the clock.  Time is money and the longer the store takes to open it is costing HT $$$.
